Biography

She graduated from the Comenius University in Bratislava, Faculty of Arts, major Teacher training of Slovak, Russian and English philology. The title of PaedDr. she received from the Faculty of Arts, University of Cyril and Methodius in Trnava, and the course of University Pedagogy completed at Charles University in Prague, where she focused on the role of a higher education teacher as facilitator. The title of PhD was awarded to her by the Faculty of Social Sciences UCM in Trnava, in the field of Social Policy where she focused on educational policy, foreign language teaching connected with major, and the need of languages for jobs.

During her academic practice she Department of foreign languages and creative activities, Vice-dean for public relations and Vice-dean for study affairs FF UCM, and the head of Department of Languages FSV UCM. Her pedagogical, scientific and research activities, are focused on teaching foreign languages for specific purposes, psychological and social aspects of teaching, learning, and using languages for work. Her professional practice involves close cooperation with disciplinary teachers and CLIL method implementation in higher education. She actively participated in several international projects (Visegrad Fund +, Interreg, ESF and Grid Study). She is the author and co- author of more than 60 publications, published two monographs, two university textbooks, participates in international and domestic conferences and workshops, publishes articles in the WoS and Scopus databases, she is a member of the editorial boards of two international journals. She supervised more than 30 theses, 8 of them in English language. She supports creative, cultural and artistic activities and lifelong learning of students and employees.
