A great thing is when a person combines his hobby with his profession. The study program of Management in Tourism and Hospitality and Project Management are examples of this.

Recently the admission procedure has not been held with us, the evaluation committee assesses the results from individual years of your secondary school study in the subjects as follows (in the case you are only going to graduate):

  • Management in tourism and hospitality:
    Slovak language and literature, History (or equivalent subject), Economics (or equivalent subject), foreign language.
  • Project Management:
    Slovak language and literature, English (minimum level B2), history (or equivalent subject), economics (or equivalent subject).

In the case you are an old regulation graduate, into account are taken:

  • Overall result of the graduation exam.
  • Achieved results.

Applicants for the 2026/2027 academic year must submit their application electronically via the AIS2 system on the IM UCM website by August 15, 2026. Applicants must save their application after uploading it to the AIS2 system (the application status “REGISTERED” is insufficient). Applicants may list only one study programme per application.

Application appendices

  • curriculum vitae,
  • achievements during the secondary school study (placement at local, regional, or national Olympiad and competitions), 
  • confirmation on completed payment, in the case of electronic payment (bank transfer), the applicant uploads the confirmation on the completed payment, not of the movement on the bank account, as a part of the application appendices,
  • verified documents on education:
    • Applicants who will graduate in 2026 must upload their grade reports (from their electronic report card) for grades 1 through 3 (4-year programme) or grades 2 through 4 (5-year programme). If the transcript cannot be uploaded or is not uploaded correctly, they must submit certified copies of their report cards for these grades (certified by the high school, a notary, or the registry office) to the Admissions Office (by post or in person). The applicant must also submit a certified copy of the final-year secondary school report card (certified by a notary or the registry office) and a certified copy of the high school diploma to the Admissions Office (by post or in person) no later than August 15, 2026.
    • Applicants who graduated from high school before 2026 must submit to the Admissions Office (in person or by post) certified copies (notarised or issued by the school registrar) of their report cards for grades 1 through 4 (4-year programme) or grades 2 through 5 (5-year programme), along with their high school diploma, by August 15, 2026.

Further information

  • Documents submitted with the application will not be returned to the applicant; they will remain permanently part of the applicant’s academic records, which are archived at the IM UCM in Trnava. You cannot claim a refund of the application fee.
  • Students who have completed their studies at foreign institutions, and all international students, must submit recognised academic transcripts in accordance with Act No. 422/2015 Coll. on the Recognition of Educational Documents and Professional Qualifications and on Amendments to Certain Acts. If there is a delay between the issuance and recognition of the required documents, students shall inform the head of the UCM Academic Affairs Office and agree on special conditions for submitting the recognised documents.
  • The admission requirements for international applicants to the Slovak-language bachelor’s degree programmes are the same as those for students from the Slovak Republic. International students enrolled in programmes taught in Slovak must demonstrate a good command of the Slovak language (at least B1). This proficiency must be demonstrated by a certificate or other proof of proficiency.
  • All applicants must have full legal capacity in accordance with the laws of the Slovak Republic.
  • The decision on the outcome of the admissions process will be delivered to the applicant in writing and received in person.
