Graduates of the Institute of Management are ready to work in middle or project management, or to start their own businesses, immediately after graduation.

We’ll teach you to think for yourself, take responsibility for your decisions, and manage a team or your own business. Simply put, when you graduate, you won’t just have a diploma to frame on your wall, but a wealth of experience and knowledge to help you jump straight into entrepreneurship or into middle, project, or top management. The job market will be fighting over you.

Graduate of the Tourism and Hospitality Management program

  • describe economic concepts, categories, and market laws,
  • characterize, classify, categorize accommodation services, facilities, gastronomy, transport services from tourism and hospitality point of view,
  • follow the principles of professional communication with clients and business partners,
  • orientate in the process of quality control and evaluation of services provided within integrated management systems,
  • have knowledge on the basics of business, labour code for work in tourism, hospitality, and gastronomy,
  • orientate in the regional geography of tourism, including natural, historical, and cultural heritage,
  • manage customer service,
  • apply time management and practically apply adequate marketing strategies and business procedures,
  • plan and implement the project, process the feedback on its quality and success.

Graduate of the Project Management program

  • is able to plan, organise, implement, monitor, and evaluate projects across the business, public, and non-profit sectors,
  • understands the economic, managerial, financial, and legal principles of project management,
  • can effectively apply IPMA, PMI, and PRINCE2 project methodologies and frameworks in practice,
  • is able to prepare project documentation, including a schedule, a budget, and a risk analysis,
  • is proficient in financial planning, budgeting, and evaluating the effectiveness and return on investment of projects,
  • is able to develop and evaluate business and innovation projects in line with practical needs,
  • is able to manage the various phases of the project cycle, from preparation through to completion,
  • is able to coordinate project teams, delegate tasks effectively, and ensure project goals are met,
  • effectively communicates and presents project deliverables in Slovak and English,
  • is prepared to respond flexibly to changes in the project environment and to make decisions regarding the project’s quality, timeline, and costs.
