She is a graduate of the Faculty of Philosophy at Constantine the Philosopher University in Nitra, where she completed her studies in cultural studies with a specialisation in culture and tourism management. She also earned her PhDr. degree in cultural studies, with a focus on culture and tourism management. She defended her PhD dissertation at the Faculty of Economics and Management of the Slovak University of Agriculture in Nitra in the field of sectoral and cross-sectoral economics. In her dissertation, she addressed marketing management in hospitality businesses focused on national cuisine.
From 2003 to 2026, she served as a university instructor and research assistant in the Department of Culture and Tourism Management, Cultural Studies, and Ethnology at the Faculty of Philosophy of Constantine the Philosopher University in Nitra. Her teaching, research, and professional activities have long focused on tourism, tourism services, culinary culture, and gastronomic tourism. In her research and project work, she has contributed to projects on tourism, cultural heritage, regional development, inclusion, and the social aspects of tourism. She is currently participating in the APVV project Labor Migration from Romania, Serbia, and Ukraine to Slovakia and Its Cultural and Social Consequences. She was also a co-author of The Concept for Tourism Development in the Nitra Self-Governing Region for 2021–2027 as part of the strategic development document of the Nitra Self-Governing Region.
She is currently an assistant professor at the Institute of Management at UCM in Trnava. In her teaching and professional work, she focuses on tourism, tourism intermediary organisations, gastronomy, and gastronomic tourism, emphasising the integration of theoretical knowledge with practical application, collaboration with external partners, and student involvement in real-world projects and activities in the tourism and hospitality sectors.
An important part of her professional profile is bridging the gap between academia and professional practice. For several years, she has collaborated with tourism institutions and stakeholders, local government, and regional development organisations. She has long been a member of professional and advisory bodies at the city of Nitra and Nitra Self-Governing Region levels, including the Nitra City Council’s Committee on Culture, Creative Industries, and Tourism and the Nitra Self-Governing Region’s Committee on Culture and Tourism. Since October 2025, she has been a member of the Tourism Support Fund’s expert committee.
In addition to his work at the university, he is involved in lifelong learning. Since 2016, he has been teaching as an instructor at the University of the Third Age, in collaboration with the Bratislava Business School of the University of Economics in Bratislava, within the Tourism – Gastronomic Tourism programme. As part of the programme, he lectures on the history of gastronomy, gastronomic trends, culinary tourism, and world gastronomy.
